Ashley & Erik Part 1 :)

Ashley & Erik....oh how we adore these two! They felt like old friends from the get go. We remember our first consultation and chatting with Ashley, Erik and Ashley's mom Tammy. We loved hearing about all the amazing creative ideas Ashley had for their wedding. And from that point it has been such a great relationship! Ashley with her amazing style and happy sweet personality. Then there is Erik who is funny as heck and a laid back, calm kind of guy who brings out the very best in his Ashley. So, finally their day had arrived.   Our long awaited anticipation of this event was coming to an end, and that gave way to the joy of capturing this day with one of our favorite couples of 2011 . . .

Take notice of what Erik's "beer" mug says.  This shot was a must for Ashley!

Love that we were able to incorporate some pops of Fall with the pumpkin :) We had the most beautiful Fall day!

The dashing Mother & Father of the Bride.

One of the things we adore most about Ashley is her smiles.  They are plentiful, sweet, and are contagious.  Love this shot because even though you can't see her actual smile, you can totally see her eye smiles :)

Younger Sister helping her Older Sister get ready - priceless . . .

Excitement because the dress is buttoned and it is time to go :)

Before heading to the church, we were lucky to have enough time to stage a "first look" with Ashley and her Dad.  This was one of those moments that we live for in this business.  Both Lisa and I had tears in our eyes capturing the reactions of Dad and Daughter.  It is truly one of the wonderful perks of this business, having our customers and their families and friends become like family and friends to us.

Love how excited Ashley's mom is after seeing the flowers.

And even more excited to see her baby boy :)

A quick....but stunning family picture before the ceremony. How gorgeous is this family! Seriously!

Can't even handle how adorable it was to capture this little snicker by one of the Grandmothers :)

Ashley & Erik,
We loved re-living the first part of your day through the posting
of this blog. We hope it brings back a flood of wonderful memories
for you! We will have Part 2 up for you next week...can't wait!

April & BJ Part 2 :):)

As the Thanksgiving weekend is winding down, it is a great time to reflect. Kelly and I are in awe when we stop and think about the amazing year we have had. Our Wedding business quadrupled from 2010 and it is something we are so very thankful for and so honored. We know there are many capable and very talented Photographers in St. Louis and we are very humbled by the many wonderful couples we have worked with this year.

April and BJ are the epitome of this. They are so very kind, good and decent people. While watching them throughout the day you could see that they are loved by so many. BJ's mega-watt smile never left his face and April's kind spirit showed through in too many ways to even count. Thankful, yes we are very thankful to have shared the day with this amazing couple.

And on with part two.....

We don't usually post "posed family photos" but we take them every single time. Kelly and I are like well oiled machines and after our very busy year we have it down to a science. But, we wanted to showcase these beautiful family photos. We love it when our couples think outside the box and are open to family pictures other places besides a Church alter. In this case we stepped outside into some of the most beautiful natural light of the day. Thank you April & BJ for your willingness to think "outside the box"...or alter...so to speak :)

Such gorgeous florals!

And our first stop of Main Street St. Charles for some wedding party fun. It was quite the hot spot for wedding parties that day. The word is out, Main Street is an amazing place for pictures.

Beautiful girls.....

Dashing boys.....

And our lovely couple.....

What a stunning Bride! April was just glowing...and have we mentioned lately that we L-O-V-E her dress.

One more stop....we headed to Dog Prairie Tavern....a good time was had by all.

And then onto the reception. There was lots of dancing, lots of cake eating, many laughs with friends and relatives that traveled great distances to celebrate with this couple that is loved so much.

Ah, the pondering of grabbing a dessert without the permission of an adult . . .

BJ & April,
Thank you just doesn't seem like enough. We loved every
minute with you guys...truly. Your friends and family were so wonderful, your
day was easy. It was more like hanging out with old friends than it was like work.
We wish you so much happiness and love and we know yours
will be one amazing marriage.
Much love friends!
Lisa & Kelly
