Carrie & Dennis - Part 1

This blog post is one of the most emotional and heartfelt posts we have ever written.  Words don't seem fitting at a time of such joy and utter heartbreak.  Carrie and Dennis' wedding was originally scheduled for March of 2012, but shortly after our first wedding consultation, Carrie's Mother Missy was diagnosed with Cancer.  Plans quickly began to move the wedding up to May of 2011.

Carrie and Dennis' Wedding Day was overcast with a chance of rain, but Carrie was glowing with the excitement of the day.  Her infectious personality brightened everything around her. . .

Here's our delightful and gorgeous bride catching a glimpse of herself in the mirror.

This "borrowed" bracelet was her Great Grandmother's, and she had received it on her wedding day!

Before heading outside for pictures with her Girls, Carrie wanted to check in with her Mom
for "a first look".  There was not a dry eye in the room, and we found that we were wiping tears away behind our cameras the entire day.

We absolutely loved Carrie's color scheme, and how the dresses were suited to individual personalities.
Wow . . . what a beautiful bunch of Girls :)

Dennis and his buddies had us on our toes for the whole event, and when
Dennis lets loose he has a great smile that we were glad to capture!

The last few moments with Dad, while Mom was being escorted down the aisle.

How lucky are we to get to shoot in some of St. Louis' most amazing churches?

Dear Carrie & Dennis,

Words can not describe how honored we are to have been chosen as
your photographers.  The amount of love that surrounded you on this day,
was like nothing we have experienced to date.  To hear of your Mom's passing
yesterday, was so heart-wrenching for both of us.  The outpouring of love and support
throughout the entire day, was a testament to the amazing woman she was in life.  We feel so
blessed to have met her.  Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers
during this very difficult time.

~Kelly & Lisa
