In life paths are meant to cross, love is meant to happen. In the case of Jana and Jeff , that statement is oh so true :) Jeff hales from New Jersey and Jana is from a small town in West Virginia. They are planting their roots in our beloved St.L and starting the next chapter of their lives. They will be married in a few short weeks in West Virginia, and we were thrilled they choose us to document where they are right now in their relationship with an engagement shoot. Kelly and I are itching for a destination wedding...and we are currently trying to figure out a way to crash this adorable couples wedding....with cameras in hand. ha ha!
Jana wanted their shoot to have a very strong "St. Louis" feel, they will be displaying some of the images at their reception. We meet them at one iconic St. Louis spot, The World's Fair Pavilion....from there we rode together from spot to spot. We LOVE what we got of this amazingly fun loving couple and we think it definitely represents the "Lou" well :) Take a look.....
All you St. Louis "Photogs" know this spot below doesn't usually look this good. There is MAJOR construction going on at our beautiful Art Museum....but Kelly is a Photoshop Goddess and you would never know :)
We were hit with a major rain storm just hours before we were scheduled to meet them. But Mother Nature gave us a pass and the night ended up just gorgeous with some amazing light.
A quick out fit change and another stop at the famous "Keiner Plaza".
We have been itching to shoot in front of a bank of newsstand's....LOVE the colors of these and they look awesome with this equally colorful couple in front of them. Love that they were having a nice "inside" moment. Let's just say we had a lot of homeless around us during this portion of the night :)
Jeff & Jana,
It was so wonderful to meet you guys. Not only is your
engagement shoot one of our all time favorites, but we had
a BLAST hanging out with you. Even when we had to get creative
to stop some bleeding and when Lisa slamed Jana's finger in
the car door. Don't worry, she wasn't hurt (thank GOD!)
We wish we could be there in West Virginia in a few weeks, your
Photographer is one lucky guy!
Hugs!
Lisa & Kelly
